Too many sample points (PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER)

Question:

When I try to open my data in PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER it is complaining about too many sample points. The excact message is:

"Too many sample points. Present max. 262 ksamples, requiring 2500 ksamples."

E.g., data cannot be displayed completely in the screen and no analysis will be performed on data beyond 262 ksamples. What can I do?

Answer:

The acquired data was recording with an increased number of "Max. Sample Points". Now you try to open the data with a PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER version which has a lower amount of "Max. Sample Points" set in the Configuration (General tab). You have to increase carefully the number of "Max. Sample Points" to match the number points of your previously acquired data. Best check in the Parameters for these traces how many points are needed and adapt it in the Configuration accordingly.
