Filter: Too many coefficients: 463
Question:
I am trying to measure some Min and Max values for a trace using FITMASTER. However, the program gives this error message
"Filter: Too many coefficients: 463"
at every sweep, how do I get rid of it?
Answer:
The "Digital Filter" setting, located in the Oscilloscope window, is set to a very low frequency value resulting in a computational error. Either increase the "Digital Filter" frequency or set the digital filter to "OFF".
Background: Both PATCHMASTER and FITMASTER provide a software non-lagging Gaussian low-pass filter that can applied to the active trace (channel). The -3dB cutoff frequency for this filter is specified in Hertz and must be larger than 0.01 times the sampling rate. Please keep in mind that filter is used for display purposes only, it will NOT change the acquired data. Since PATCHMASTER handles both the acquisition and review of data the "Digital Filter", when active, will be applied in either case.
