Error: No Trace Buffer Allocated (PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER)

Question:

I opened a *.dat file with my PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER software and got the following error message when I tried to replay my data:

"Error: no trace buffer allocated".

What is wrong?

Answer:

The issues occurs because the PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER version which you are using to open the *.dat file is older compared to the PATCHMASTER version where you now try to open the *.dat file. Please update the PATCHMASTER/FITMASTER version to the same version of your PATCHMASTER software where your data was acquired with.
