Too many data points in Trace - Continuous data (Fitmaster)
Question:
When trying to use the "Action Potential" fitting routine in FITMASTER for my continuous data I get the following error message:
"Too many data points in trace. This trace may have continuous data. Analysis currently not supported."
Is there any work-around?
Answer:
The problem is that the fitting routine works on the whole trace/sweep and if the number of sample points exceeds the "Max. Sample Points" (Configuration - General Tab) it does not work. You can try to increase the "Max. Sample Points" to the upper limit (around 3 Million data points).
If this does not work for you you should use in your PGF sequence a "Constant" segment of maybe 30 or 60 seconds length, the "Gap-Free Mode" and an appropriate number of Sweeps to reach the total recording time you want to have. The "Gap-Free Mode" guarantees that there is no time gap between the individual sweeps and the Analysis will work again.
