The system cannot find the file specified (0x2)

Question:

When I start PATCHMASTER it shows the error message:

"EPC 10 initialization failed: LIH 1600 error. Windows error code: (0xE0003012). The system cannot find the file specified (0x2)."

What is the problem?

Answer:

This error message indicates that the PCI-1600 card in the computer is either defective or not properly inserted. Please remove the PCI-1600 card and re-insert it (if possible) to another PCI slot).

After re-booting the computer, the card should be detected as "new hardware" and you will have to re-install the drivers.

If the card is not detected by the operating system, then it might be broken.
