Missing Scale file
Question:
I just installed my new EPC 10 amplifier with the latest PATCHMASTER version from your web site. Upon starting PATCHMASTER it asks for the file "SCALE-590275.EPC". I can't find this file on my computer?
Answer:
The scale file is the individual calibration file of your amplifier.
EPC 10 amplifier of the first generation
When using an EPC 10 amplifier of the first generation (revision < R for USB or revision < S for PCI) you should have received either a floppy disk or an USB stick with this scale file. Please copy the scale files (Scale-xxxxxx.epc, and CFast-xxxxxx.epc) into the HEKA\E9Screen folder of your PATCHMASTER installation. The next time PATCHMASTER is started, it should automatically load these files.
If you use newer PATCHMASTER versions (2.73 or more recent) the scale files are stored in the "Patchmaster" folder.
If you cannot find the floppy disk or USB stick, then you can easily create new scale files by re-calibrating the amplifier from the EPC10 menu of PATCHMASTER.
Recent EPC 10 amplifiers
In the most recent EPC 10 amplifiers (revision ≥ R for USB, revision ≥ S for PCI) the scale file is saved by default on the amplifier itself ("Scale from/to EEPROM" in the EPC10 menu). It can be changed when selecting "Scale from/to Disk" in the EPC10 menu.
